14.03.2013 TravelHawk Pro from EXFO captures and analyzes millions of live signaling sessions and user-plane data over an LTE EPC network to allow on-site troubleshooting, improve network quality, and reduce MTTR (mean time to repair). The portable instrument also performs packet capture and analysis for 1-Gbps and 10-Gbps Ethernet networks and provides detailed IP application analysis.
TravelHawk Pro simultaneously connects to all interfaces surrounding live mobility management entities and gateways to achieve complete network visibility. It detects commonly used applications, such as Skype, Facebook, FTP, email, and VoLTE, and correlates the data for LTE network-signaling analysis. This allows operators to address subscriber-related issues with LTE signaling, as well as the customer experience with user-plane traffic.
With up to 14 Tbytes of local storage, the TravelHawk Pro captures packet data to disk at a sustained rate of 8 Gbps and a peak rate of 10 Gbps. Data is captured in PCAP format with 10-ns time-stamp resolution and NTP (Network Time Protocol) synchronization. |
