24.01.2013 To reduce the complexity of testing and troubleshooting triple-play and broadband ADSL2+ and VDSL2 services, EXFO has launched the FTB-610 wideband copper test module and the FTB-635 wideband copper and DSL test module. These new modules are housed inside the FTB-1 handheld platform and extend the FTB line of modular, field-test products to DSL, FTTN, and hybrid network circuits and services.
FTB modules combine the platform’s built-in optical power meter, visual fault locator, and fiber-inspection probe to create an all-in-one tool for troubleshooting an FTTN/hybrid network. Feature sets are aligned with FTTN and VDSL2 requirements and include not only conventional copper tests, but also wideband, noise, and fault-location tests.
The FTB-610 offers deep copper analysis, leveraging the SmartR test suite, which automatically runs all of the decisive copper tests and translates the results in plain language and graphical results to speed interpretation of twisted-pair faults. The FTB-635 adds ADSL2+ and VDSL2 test capabilities, providing full vectoring and bonding support. EXpert IP and EXpert IPTV onboard test suites help troubleshoot IPTV and video from either the DSL or Ethernet interface, including live video preview, anywhere on the circuit. |
