13.12.2012 Anritsu’s MG3740A analog signal generator outputs AM, FM, and ØM test signals for evaluating narrowband analog radio equipment used in public safety networks and private commercial networks. In addition, the MG3740A can be optionally configured to output digital modulations for testing dual-mode radios that support both analog and digital communications.
With SSB (single sideband) phase noise of –140 dBc/Hz (100 MHz, 20 kHz offset, CW), the MG3740A allows engineers to conduct accurate evaluations of narrowband systems and components, such as amplifies and mixers. The generator covers frequency ranges of 100 kHz to 2.7 GHz, 4 GHz, and 6 GHz. It provides level accuracy of ±0.5 dB over an output level range of –110 dBm to +17 dBm for measuring receiver sensitivity and amplifier distortion characteristics. Several options are available to achieve output level ranges of –110 dBm to +30 dBm, –144 dBm to +17 dBm, and –144 dBm to +30 dBm.
The MG3740A can be configured with two sets of test-signal output ports, eliminating the need for separate signal generators. With this option, the instrument can output both the wanted and interference waveforms required for analog radio testing. |
