Advantech(2395.TW),a global leader in the embedded computing market, is glad to announce the launch of the RSB-4210, a compact RISC Single Board (RSB) powered by Freescale ARM® Cortex™-A8 i.MX53 (up to 1GHz) high performance processor that delivers multimedia on a low power (less than 3 watts!) platform. It features a heatsinkless design, -40 to 85° C wide operating temperature range, and high graphics performance and is ideal for various low-power applications in industrial control, HMI/kiosk, medical, and portable applications. RSB-4210 is powered by a Freescale ARM® Cortex-A8 i.MX53, with 512MB DDR3 & 2GB flash onboard; it has graphics processing built in, with support for OpenGL ES2.0 and OpenVG™ 1.1 hardware 2D/3D accelerators, plus Full HD 1080p hardware decode and 720p hardware encode. And it supports LCD display up to 1920x 1080 (Default: 800x480 WVGA), T/S, and Brightness/Backlight control. With no graphics card required, the 146 x 102 x 20 mm (5.75 x 4.0 x 0.8 inch) RSB-4210 is very well suited for industrial digital signage and HMI applications; its compact design is an advantage where space is limited.
