| Two simultaneously operating Fibre Channel host connections unleash the awesome power of the Digi-Data Z-9552 RAID 3&5 Controller for high volume file server, transaction processing, data base, and mixed environment applications. Performing thousands of I/O operations per second, the Z-9552 can directly and simultaneously support two host servers in a cluster configuration or connections to two Fibre Channels in an arbitrated loop configuration. In addition, the Digi-Data Z-9552 Dual Fibre Channel RAID 3&5 Controller can be configured with RAID 3 Logical Units to provide blazing sustained throughput for large file applications. With its two 100 MB/second Fibre Channel host connections and special hardware/software features, the Z-9552 leads the industry in sustained performance.
The Digi-Data Z-9552 Dual Fibre Channel RAID 3&5 Controller is scalable in multiple dimensions: the Fibre Channel host connections enable cable lengths up to 33 meters (copper cable) and up to 500 meters (fiber optic cable) to support distributed network environments, the cache memory is expandable up to 256 MB to support multiple host processes without frequent cache flushes, and the six disk channels can support up to 15 disks per channel to support the largest storage applications.
The sophisticated reliability features of the Z-9552 complement its high performance to provide the fault tolerance required for online applications.
With its two Fibre Channel host connections, the Digi-Data Z-9552 RAID 3&5 Controller offers industry leading performance to support the most demanding applications, including:
