A Fibre Channel PCI card is required to connect Xserve RAID toXserve G5, Xserve, Power Mac G5, or Power Mac G4. A user installablea Dual Channel 2Gb Fibre Channel PCIHost Bus Adapter. The Fibre ChannelPCI card is installed in your computer and the cables (not included) are usedto connect to the SFP port on Xserve RAID with SFP connectors. TheFibre Channel PCI card supports 64-bit/66MHz PCI as well as 33. SFP connectors on the card allow use ofcopper or optical cabling and provide the capability of directlyconnecting to Xserve RAID or Fiber Channel switches over long distancesup to 500m. The Apple Fibre Channel PCI card offers leading performance and compatibility with Mac OS X and Xserve RAID.
