By combining magnetically-induced super resolution (MSR) technology and the land/groove recording method, the second generation of GIGAMO technology achieves 2.3GB capacity on a 3.5" MO disk.

Fujitsu's MCR3230SS magneto-optical drive has almost twice the capacity of its 1.3GB predecessor, and significantly better performance. It delivers an impressive internal data transfer rate up to 8.38MB/s.

MCR3230 series drives are available with Ultra-SCSI (MCR3230SS) and ATAPI (MCR3230AP) interfaces. They feature:

• High rotational speeds - 3,637rpm/5,455rpm
• Excellent random accessibility - 19ms seek time
• Full read/write compatibility with 2.3GB and 1.3GB GIGAMO disks and all ISO 3.5" MO disks (640MB, 540MB, 230MB and 128MB)
